UT Event Calendar Policy and Procedures
The UT Austin Campus Calendar — Texas Today — is the university’s central events calendar https://calendar.utexas.edu/.
Events Submission Requirements
- Events may only be submitted for consideration by members of the UT community.
- Events must be submitted via the online event submission form.
- Events should be sponsored by a UT entity (college, school, department, program, division, center, institute, office, venue, or club) and have a clear UT connection.
- Event organizers are responsible for the accuracy of the event posting.
- Event listings must include title, date, time, location, description, sponsor, and contact information. A website link for additional information may also be included.
- Appropriate events include, but are not limited to, lectures, workshops, seminars, arts events, cultural events, community service events, social events, information sessions, and athletic events.
Events Not Allowed or That May Be Removed
- On-going hiring or recruiting efforts. One-time job fairs are allowed.
- Events that lack required information.
- Events that lack appropriate sponsorship by a UT entity or lack a clear UT connection.
- Events that lack the approval of appropriate UT entities.
- Classes, office hours, department meetings, save the dates, and application deadlines are not allowed.
Calendar Feeds
Custom calendar feeds can be exported from the calendar for display on University websites. See the Events Widget Builder. External calendar feeds can also be imported into the University Events calendar if your unit uses a different public calendar system. Please contact UMAC for more information.
University Regulation and Authority
Event submissions are considered on a case-by-case basis. University Marketing and Communications may edit event listing information for style and consistency. The University of Texas reserves the right to delete and/or edit event listings if they do not meet appropriate criteria, use vulgar, threatening, or hate speech, violate local, state or federal law, or University of Texas policies and procedures. User accounts in violation of this policy may be removed.
