Colors

Burnt orange and white are the official colors of the University. Burnt orange plays a major role in establishing our identity and should be implemented consistently in all digital and print applications.

Ensure you are using the correct shade of burnt orange by referring to our Pantone®, CMYK and RGB hex values. Never use tints of burnt orange.

While burnt orange is the University’s primary color and an integral part of our brand, our secondary color palette provides versatility and variety when developing communication materials. The secondary palette was carefully selected to complement and accent our unique burnt orange, as well as reflect our bold personality.

Use these colors sparingly and only with clear intent. They should never compete with or overwhelm the primary colors. A few other guidelines to keep in mind:

  • The lighter orange is a secondary orange that should never be used more prominently than our primary burnt orange.
  • Avoid using shades of red or purple, especially in combination with burnt orange.
  • Limit the number of secondary colors used in a single piece so they do not create an environment where burnt orange is overwhelmed.
